The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news; a post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

This week has been a recovery week for me I think. I spent a lot of time doing nothing. I completed 54 credit hours of work in 5 months. I finished 19 courses and am now 60% of the way through my Bachelor’s in Business Management, Accounting. I’m on break from school until 7/6. I think that I’m going to slow down and break the rest of my degree across two terms. I say that but once I dig into a project (any project) it’s difficult for me to let go. It’s also hard to slow my pace knowing there are less classes left in my degree than the number of courses I completed this term.

But I constantly want more balance in my life so I’m going to have to recognize that in order to achieve that balance, I need to not hyper focus on one thing. Oh the joys of trying to change behavior!

I haven’t read a ton this week but I think a lot of that has to do with burnout and recovery. I also haven’t been very communicative lately. I need to work on that as well. One of these days I will have my life in order, right?

Balance is so elusive and yet, I am fully responsible for that situation. I do the same thing. I obsess over something from beginning to end!

I understand about focusing on one thing. I hyper focus all the time and it sometimes gets me in trouble, especially when I ignore people around me like my husband. Sigh. Good luck on balancing your schedule! I hope you have a great week!

Yes, the trouble that hyper focus can bring! Sometimes the results are worth the trouble, sometimes not. I definitely ignore people and sometimes other responsibilities!
