Atomic Habits by James Clear {Stephanie’s Review}

[book-info]

I picked up Atomic Habits by James Clear towards the beginning of the year. I’m trying to read more self-improvement books and I’m always down for finding ways to make my life easier and better. Being a full-time employee and student has really amplified that need.

While I didn’t have any mind-blowing revelations reading Atomic Habits, I did learn how to further maximize my time and habit building. Intellectually I always had a pretty good concept of habit building. What I learned by reading Atomic Habits is how’s to maintain habits and tricks to make that maintenance less work and more automatic.

I have always set daily/weekly/monthly goals but what will change for me going forward are the cues and actual recognition of the cues. I’m also going to start chaining more of my habits together, particularly around house chores. I’m also really starting to embrace the idea of resetting a space so it’s ready for me the next timeI need it.

I’m really happy that I picked up Atomic Habits. It’s a relatively quick read but I know it’s one I’ll be reading it over and over.
