Adria, wolf changeling and resilient soldier, has made a break with the past--one as unpredictable in love as it was in war. Now comes a new territory, and a devastating new complication: Riaz, a SnowDancer lieutenant already sworn to a desperate woman who belongs to another.
For Riaz, the primal attraction he feels for Adria is a staggering betrayal. For Adria, his dangerous lone-wolf appeal is beyond sexual. It consumes her. It terrifies her. It threatens to undermine everything she has built of her new life. But fighting their wild compulsion toward one another proves a losing battle.
Their coming together is an inferno...and a melding of two wounded souls who promise each other no commitment, no ties, no bonds. Only pleasure. Too late, they realize that they have more to lose than they ever imagined. Drawn into a cataclysmic Psy war that may alter the fate of the world itself, they must make a decision that might just break them both. - via GoodReads

Tangle of Need by Nalini Singh is another entry in the Psy/Changeling series that I really struggled to finish. I really enjoyed it but I had a lot of stuff going on in my personal life. I also needed to set it aside to make time for other books as well.
At first Riaz and Adria really got on my nerves. This seems to happen with Singh’s couples for me. I don’t love them during their own stories but adore them after their story. Luckily this time I found myself really liking them towards the end. Singh made the relationship of convenience trope unique in that both were using the relationship to nurse hurts from other people.
The continued storyline of the overall world was superb in this book. So much happens that advances the story. The most interesting part to me is the development of Alice’s storyline. I cannot wait to see where that leads. I was happy to see the Arrows taking more of their own direction and not orders.
There are still a few questions that left me burning with curiosity. Who is the Ghost? Who is Kaleb tracking and why? Who hid this mystery person from Kaleb? What is going to happen with the Psy? I’m very excited to find out!

I’m glad to see you are still working through the series. I felt like this one was kind of a filler sort of thing. It was still good, but this isn’t a major couple or even mated. From here on out, every book is amazing. Both the couples and the world-building / story arc are just awesome. Enjoy!

Oh yes, this year I’m trying harder to complete or stick with my series reads. I agree with you not a lot happened in this book. I can’t wait to continue the series!!

I’m so glad you’re still reading this. I wasn’t a huge fan of this one (like Anne said, filler), but OMG it’s about to get so good! And you’ll soon know who ghost is 🙂

I can’t wait to see what happens!!! I really need to add the next one to my monthly TBR.
