As an Arrow, an elite soldier in the Psy Council ranks, Judd Lauren was forced to do terrible things in the name of his people. Now a defector, his dark abilities have made him the most deadly of assassins—cold, pitiless, unfeeling. Until he meets Brenna…
Brenna Shane Kincaid was an innocent before she was abducted—and had her mind violated—by a serial killer. Her sense of evil runs so deep, she fears she could become a killer herself. Then the first dead body is found, victim of a familiar madness. Judd is her only hope, yet her sensual changeling side rebels against the inhuman chill of his personality, even as desire explodes between them. Shocking and raw, their passion is a danger that threatens not only their hearts, but their very lives… - via GoodReads

Caressed in Ice by Nalini Singh is the next book in the Psy/Changeling series. I’m finding that reading all the extra in between stories really elevates the full-length novels. I highly suggest reading them.
Things are really starting to pick up in overall story arc and I am here for it! This is the first book that didn’t take me over a week to read. Strangely enough I wasn’t really looking forward to reading Brenna and Judd’s story. I think the plot really carried this one for me. There was a mystery that was a secondary storyline that really added to the overall story. I also really liked the Arrows back story and the side work that Judd does.
The only issue that I really had with this book is that both Brenna and Judd had a lot to work through and it made the read super heavy. I thought it was a beautiful watching them wade through it all to get to each other. I did find it kind of hokey that View Spoiler » I really love that Singh is building on the story with each entry and that we get to see all the characters we’ve come to know and love and/or despise.
I am so glad Anne decided to do this read-along or I may never had started the Psy/Changeling series. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Stephanie, thanks so much for reading with us and joining the chats. This book will always bring to mind how much Kai loves Judd. lol. I really hope we learn more about the Arrows.
Stephanie
Yes! I really have a sneaking suspicion that Judd is not the only Arrow defector. Just the only one we know about so far.
