Mine to Possess by Nalini Singh {Stephanie’s Review}

[book-info]

I’m trying to keep up with the Psy/Changeling read-along schedule. Unfortunately I didn’t get Mine to Possess by Nalini Singh read in time for the chat. I finished it the day after.

Things are really starting to pick up in the potential war coming between the Psy and the Changelings. There was also quite a bit of mystery in the events of the past between Clay and Talin. There’s a fair amount of suspense also in the storyline involving the kidnapping of children. Four books in and Singh is still surprising me with unexpected allies and new layers to the world she’s creating. I’m still pretty eager to see where we’re going.

Honestly I don’t seem to love the couple in their own books. I liked Clay and Talin just fine but I didn’t love them. I am always happy to see the characters when they come back in future books. There are also so many characters in these books. I think that’s another of Singh’s strengths. She populates her books with many and varied characters but introduces them slowly and gives readers the chance to get to know them.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m very excited to see where we’re going!

  1. Thank you so much for reading along with us. While this is PNR, I love the UF feel of the overall story arc learning about the world and adding to the character development of characters featured in previous book. That is often more important to me than the single book’s romance.

    1. Yes, I remember when we started a few people thought it was more UF than PNR. I love the whole story and I’m really excited to dive back in. I agree whole-heartedly. Typically during the single romance I don’t love them as much as I feel I should. Then I see them in the next book and it’s so great to catch up with them. lol
