Blogging Ta Da

This week was pretty productive. I’ve had a lot of time to plan out what I want for both myself and my blog. Now that I’ve got the planning part down I just need to get to the actual doing part. I’m pretty excited to get that going too! My first plan of action is going to be tackling getting the first two weeks of December posted. Once I have that done, I’ll take time to stop and re-asses.

November Goal Check In:

  • Schedule all pending reviews. – Did not get this complete BUT all I have to do is proof and bulk so I’m counting this as a win.
  • Schedule all Blogging Ta Da Posts & Wednesday Weekly Wrap Ups for November. – I didn’t make this goal but I’m starting to pull more social interaction from these posts and it feels so nice. This is going to be a good stimulus to get me to continue the posts.
  • Draft November TBR review posts. – I didn’t even stick to my TBR or read all of it. I’m okay with that. I enjoyed what I read this month and that’s helping me.
  • Unpack all of my library boxes (this actually excludes books for the time being). – This is sort of done. The boxes are unpacked but they aren’t put away. I have some sorting and organizing to complete.
  • Process one bookshelf of books through my cataloging system. – I wasn’t able to complete this goal.
  • Spend a few hours each week finishing up my Notion set up. – For now, I’m putting this on the back burner. I have several things that I use to organize my life. I need to stop trying to grasp the next best thing and just work with what I already have established.
  • Catch up review notes. – Completed
  • Once pending reviews are caught up; stay current. – Completed
  • Block out November posts. – Completed
  • Draft November weekly posts. – Completed
  • Create remaining November 2020 reading goals. – Completed

December Goals:

  • Draft all December 2020 posts
  • Schedule all non-weekly posts for December
  • Draft December 2020 TBR review posts
  • Complete review notes for the 3 books I have outstanding
  • Draft all January 2021 posts
  • Work on drafting 2021 posts (Blogging Ta Da and The Sunday Post)
  • Process one bookshelf of books through my cataloging system

What is your cataloging system that your putting your books through? Just curious, I’ve been working on getting my Goodreads sorted and books cataloged. It’s a job!

Good luck with your scheduling, drafting, etc. I am excited to be finally caught up and getting ahead. We’re going to start 2021 on track! Go us!

I am using GoodReads primarily. Once GoodReads is done then I can download the library and keep it in a nice spreadsheet. I’m going through and putting my unread books on challenge, audience, genre, and location shelves. I’m pretty happy with it.

Yes! I’m loving all the calendar highlighting and such I’m getting done. It’s enjoyable!

Good luck! Systems for doing things are never static for me. I’m constantly making minor changes and updates to improve. Of course, I can just coast on the current system sometimes but I’m always thinking about how to improve a bit.
