Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione was picked for our August COYER book club and I was leading the discussion. I also never completed the series and I’d like to. It was an easy choice to pick up this book.

The plot of Pleasure Unbound never stops. There is always something happening. It has also been a long time since I’ve read a proper romance and this one knocked my socks off. I liked all of the characters and I enjoyed learning more about them. I also really loved watching Eidolon and Tayla work through a whole bunch of garbage to get to their HEA and that seemed to give it more value.

Tayla…..oof. She was not my cup of tea at first. She’s hard and completely inflexible. Of course she had to be but but Ione shows this over the course of the book instead of giving us the nitty gritty details right up front. Eidolon is fantastic and frankly I loved him from page 1. Pleasure Unbound is the first book in the series and Ione does a really great job of introducing an entire cast of characters that I want to know more about. I’m very excited to keep reading the series.

I am so glad that this book was picked for book club. It made me remember my love of romance novels.
