The Wednesday Weekly Wrap Up is a way for me to share what’s been happening in my life through the week. It will be mostly book related but may include some stuff going on in my real life. It was inspired by Caffeinated Reviewer’s The Sunday Post.
This past week was just off for me! I got a lot of panic reading done Thursday to Saturday for COYER book club on Sunday. Got it done right in the nick of time too. Other than that it has been pretty quiet around here.
We had our first Drop Everything And Read session in COYER on Monday night and we’ll have another one today at 1 PM CST. If you like reading challenges I highly suggest you check out the Facebook group or visit Because Reading to check out the challenge page. Michelle and Berls host some great challenges, we have a book club, and events. They’ve been a tremendous outlet during COVID.
I’ve had some pretty major swings in motivation. These swings happened prior to the pandemic but they seem to have intensified since it started. My life barely changed for 10 years; same house, same job, same spouse. I liked that. Then in the last two years lots of things changed on a pretty regular basis. They weren’t bad changes but life changes all the same. I think it just takes me quite awhile to adjust to new normals.
I think I’m finally adjusting to this new normal. I’m also starting to come to terms with what I’m actually capable of instead of what I want to accomplish. I’m hoping changing tactics will see more productivity and less stress!
I’m reading Fable by Adrienne Young. I received this via Netgalley. I requested it as soon as I heard that Young had a new release. I really enjoyed Sky in the Deep!
I plan on picking up the first of the two COYER Book Club Picks this coming week. I’ve actually had this book in my TBR for years so now is as good a time as any to pick it up!
