The How and the Why by Cynthia Hand *Stephanie’s Review*

It has been a long time since a book has made me this happy! I knew from reading The Last Time We Say Goodbye that I was going to be in for an emotional punch. The How & the Why by Cynthia Hand was everything I had hope for and then some.

Hand’s writing pulled me in from the beginning. It flows so easily and I have a hard time putting her books down. This is only my second book by Hand but I have come to trust her with heavy subjects. Hand did an amazing job with The How & the Why. Cassandra and her family are relatable. There are a lot of ups and downs and the story turns on a dime multiple times.

I can’t go into a lot of detail about the story. I truly believe that going into this book blind is best. What I can say is that I was never really sure how things would end up. I was with Cass on her up and down journey. I made noises that my husband could hear from our living room (I was in our bedroom!). I really, really loved The How & the Why by Cynthia Hand.

  1. Great review Stephanie. So so happy you enjoyed this one so much. And those vocal reactions to the books we read.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, hope its a beautiful day for you darling.

    1. Thanks!! There was some good Mormon rep in this book too. (Good may be the wrong word; respectful might be better. I can’t say how good it is since I’m not familiar with Mormonism.) Oh it was totally choked sobbing but in the best way!

Thank you and the same to you and yours!
