This book is full of delightful, sometimes comical comments and stories by children. These are stories gleaned from 27 years of interacting with elementary school children. The author worked in elementary education as a librarian and aide, with children ranging in age from preschool to fifth grade.
These stories illustrate the unique, and impressionable view of young children, as they learn about their world. Children have important things to say. They are honest and uninhibited. Those who listen carefully, will be enamored, enlightened, and entertained. It is our hope that these stories will brighten your day and lighten your load, as you travel along your path through this life. - via GoodReads

I’m not actually going to review this book in my typical way. I know that my view is skewed and I can’t be unbiased. I did want to let you know about this book that I loved.

Jeannie Hanna (or better known to me “Mrs. Hanna”) was my elementary school librarian. I grew up in a small town of just 3600 people. My little home town was the scope of my world for the first 20 years of my life.

Two women (outside of my own mother) helped give my imagination flight. My public librarian and my elementary school librarian, Mrs. Hanna. She tucked away stories from her experiences as an elementary school librarian for over 20 years and compiled them into a book.

While I can’t be unbiased in a review of Laughable, Lovable, Lessons Learned in the Library by Jeannie R. S. Hanna I can honestly say that I adored this book and seeing my fellow students’ experiences from the adult perspective. If interested all of the profit from this book is being donated to the St. Jude’s Hospital in Peoria, IL.

Stephanie, thank you so very much for highlighting my book today! It was a joy to write! I have such fond memories of you as a Hedding student! It is my prayer that this book will benefit children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital who are literally fighting for their lives.

I love the way that children think! This book is mostly plagiarism, because the funniest lines came right from the mouths of my Hedding kids. I hope that your readers will enjoy the humor that I found at school for the 27 years that I worked in elementary schools.

I’m proud of you for writing these wonderful reviews. Your blog is wonderful! Now that I know about it, I’ll be checking in often. I still love children’s books!! 💗

You are welcome! Children certainly have a unique way of seeing life. 🙂 They can make it really simple or really complicated. I can’t wait to read more of your stories. It brought Abingdon to life in my mind. Not necessarily the town but definitely the elementary school which made me think of the town as I knew it in elementary school.

Thank you! That means quite a lot. 😀 Thank you so much for stopping by!
