In order to get my blogging habits sharpened up again I’m going to to do my own Blog Ahead which is run over at Herding Cats and Burning Soup. I’m not sure if I want to do a 15 day Blog Ahead Challenge or a full 30 day challenge. I discovered on Tuesday that I have not one but two herniated discs in the base of my spine. Because of this I had to take 3 1/2 days off of work and until the end of the month I am not allowed to lift over 10 pounds. YAY! Oh and had anyone ever told me I had scoliosis? (I’ve discovered this isn’t such a big deal as mine is slight but still definitely there.) While I’m not in agonizing pain anymore thanks to my chiropractor muscle fatigue is going to be a big part of my life for at least a few weeks if not longer.
I spent those 3 1/2 days going between my arm chair (thank GOD we inherited one with a remote for the leg rest!) and my bed. In 13 days I’ve wrapped up 5 books. It has definitely done me well on the reading front. I’m hoping to keep up my pace. In order not to burn out I really like the idea of posting/scheduling two posts a day. I’m going to do review wrap ups for each month and then start back up with individual reviews for the books I’ve finished in May.
Most importantly I hope to find the joy in blogging again. I loved it once and admit to feeling a little indifferent now. I’m hoping to rekindle that love through a few of the things that I truly enjoyed in the past. 🙂 Here’s to seeing more of you!
