She’s finally ready to rock...
Toni Nichols set aside her dreams to raise her little sister, but now she's reaching for the stars as the creator of a revolutionary interactive biography about Exodus End. She’s on tour with the rock band to immerse herself in their world, but how will she ever gain the trust of four veteran superstars who've been burned by the media before? Nobody said this was going to be easy. Then again, good things can come in hard packages.
He's always ready to roll…
Adrenaline junkie Logan Schmidt lives for the rush of playing his bass guitar before thousands of screaming fans. When he's not performing onstage or in the bedroom, he's looking for his next thrill in extreme sports. So why does a sweet, innocent journalist get his heart pumping and capture his full attention? Is Toni the real deal or just digging up dirt on his band? Logan’s eager to rock Toni’s world and roll her in the sack, but when she starts to get too close to his heart, she takes her insider look to a place he may never be willing to go.
I love the Sinners series! It is one of my favorite romance series ever and I re-read passages of those books all the time. In those books we start to meet the members of Exodus End. I was scared to move onto this series because I worried it wasn’t going to be as good. I decided to finally just take a chance and try this one out.
I have to say I was right to be worried about this series. I really didn’t like our main male lead, Logan. He was just annoying and obnoxious. He just liked the female lead, Toni, because of her big boobs. He didn’t really seem to have any great qualities as a band member or boyfriend or friend with benefits. He was often throwing tantrums and would get upset about things so easily, even when he had just stepped into the situation. He was quick to get pissed about little things and he was very possessive over Toni even though he barely knew her.
Toni also didn’t really impress me. She started off as this strong female character who wanted more out of her sheltered life and career. She wanted to bust out and discover the world and spend some time with some rockers. She was ready. Well apparently all she was ready for was for Logan to take her virginity within a few hours of meeting him. She didn’t even seem to care who took her virginity, she just wanted it over with. She didn’t know a darn thing about any of the members of the band so why pick Logan. She turned into a puddle anytime Logan was around. Their sexual games should have been fun but often feel flat on the page. I mean when you read the passion and desire in the Sinners series this one falls far short of that.
Overall, I didn’t really care for our leads in this one. I also felt that the rest of the band members were disjointed from one another. Sinners feels like a unit and there for each other no matter what. Exodus End felt like a bunch of men who were over their music and just wanted to keep touring to make some more millions before they got too old or broke up finally. They didn’t feel like a unit. So I’m worried about where this is going because this wasn’t the start I wanted.
