It has been too long since I last worked on Once Upon a Chapter. My husband finally got on the same page with me and we’ve been focusing on a healthier lifestyle. This involves more homecooking, relying less on convenient food options, and spending an ungodly amount of time at the gym. On a weekday (which I do 3 out of the 5) it is a minimum of an hour and a half. On the weekends it is closer to 2 1/2 hours. Not all of that is spent working out but by the time I get home I have zero desire (and frankly not much more time) to do much else. It seems to be worth it though as I’m down 35 pounds and my husband is down 18 pounds.
I think I’ve posted ad nauseam about how long it takes me to adapt to new things/schedules so I won’t cover it yet again. What I will say is that I’m trying. We’re getting there. I’m adapting (slowly) to our new lifestyle and learning to prioritize the things that I want to accomplish. I have to split my limited free time amongst reading, blogging, cross-stitching, knitting, meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal prepping. Today I had enough time to get a few blog posts up and that feels like a victory. We only have 3 work days this week so I hope to get a bit more accomplished as we go.

I’m about 1/3 of the way through Allison Brennan’s debut. It is a re-read for me but it’s been a few years since I originally read it. I’m hoping to get through it this week. Who knows? Maybe there will end up being more than one book to read this week!
