Breach of Crust by Ellery Adams *Stephanie’s Review*

[book-info] I was really excited for Breach of Crust by Ellery Adams. The Charmed Pie Shoppe mystery series is one of the few that I try to keep on top of. There is just something about Havenwood, GA and its citizens that keeps pulling me back.

I was mostly curious how Adams was going to handle the direction of the series. Bombshells were dropped in Lemon Pies and Little White Lies. I was nervous about where this series was heading. I really enjoyed the new direction it took. I loved that Adams threw in Greek mythology. It seems odd to have Arthurian and Greek myths side by side but it worked!

There weren’t a lot of new additions to the cast in Breach of Crust and I’m completely alright with that. I liked the new characters I met, felt like visiting family with the regular characters, and loved spending time with Charleston Chew. To this day Chewy remains my favorite character!

After five books I’m happy to report that the series is standing up still. I can’t wait to see where the next book takes us!
