Before attending ALA 2016 Annual I wanted to work through some of my older ARCs. I had seen Tiny Pretty Things by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton float through my feeds so I picked it up. It helped that the sequel would be releasing soon.

The plot for Tiny Pretty Things was alright. I’m not going to say that I was engrossed from page one. This book definitely held the slow burn with my attention. Bette, June, and Gigi took turns telling hte story. I will say that each girl had a distinct voice.

My biggest struggle was that I didn’t connect with any of the girls. If I had to pick, I’d say that Gigi was my favorite. Probably because she is the least vindictive of the three. I really kind of pitied June and I really do hope that she gets a happy ending. Bette is a complicated character and I don’t think that I like her. I don’t know that she is redeemable.

While I didn’t love Tiny Pretty Things it was a quick enough read and I’m curious to see where things go!
