Who doesn’t love Mik and Zuzana? I swear they are the best secondary characters pretty much ever.

Mik and Zuzana are such fun characters. Every scene with them in Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Days of Blood and Starlight is fierce. If it’s fun and light or Karou needs defenders there is no questions what side of the line they’ll be on.

Night of Cake & Puppets is the story about how Zuzana made Mik hers. It is sweet and so full of wonderful surprises that Mik never stood a chance.

The best thing about this novella is the new love that each of them discovers. My favorite scene includes a three in the morning phone call. It’s been eleven years since those days for me. It just makes my heart happy to know where they are headed!
