The Unseen by Heather Graham *Stephanie’s Review*

The Unseen by Heather Graham was probably the lease favorite book in the series so far. I love a good ghost story and that’s basically why I keep reading this series. I enjoy a good romance but so far the ghost story has outshined the romance each time for me.

The biggest issue that I had with The Unseen is that I didn’t connect with either of the main characters. Logan Raintree is very much the strong and silent type. Depending on my mood I either really like the character type or I really hate it. In this case it just didn’t work for me.

Kelsey O’Brien is pretty much the female version of the strong and silent type. Kelsey feels that she has a lot to prove because she is a woman in a man dominated field. She’s also learned the hard way to keep to herself and a select number of people.

This book could be saved by a great ghost story of good interactions with the supernatural but even that fell flat for me this time around. I didn’t find Rose’s story particularly riveting. There wasn’t even any mystery to it.

The mystery was mildly interesting. I did want to know what had happened to the girls. I also didn’t have a clear idea of who was killing these girls. It kept the story moving.

The bad people in this book weren’t as heinous as some of the other suspects in other books but they were still pretty horrible. After reading this book, I decided to take a break from the series in case I was burning myself out. I am still excited to continue with the series. I’m just hoping that this book was a fluke for me.

    1. I bet it was! It’s always great to have a setting that you’re familiar with. I’ll be continuing with the series for sure though!
