[book-info]
One of these days I’m going to learn that I don’t have to read everything or finish a series or even finish a book I’m not liking. One day. I’m unhealthily curious and want to know how things end up even when I’m not invested in the characters. If I remember correctly, in Heaven by Alexandra Adornetto I was looking for redemption for some pretty horrible shit that went down in Hades. Didn’t happen. Not even a little bit. Nope. Nadda.
Apparently when you’re a human who breaks the rules and doesn’t follow God and his law, you go to Hades and are left there to suffer for all eternity. When you’re an angel who goes against God’s laws for something you want it’s completely legit. This is how Adornetto’s logic works: if an angel walking the earth wants something bad enough it must be right or they wouldn’t feel that way, right? Oh wait. Bethany and Xavier’s relationship is so special it transcends all of Heaven’s and Earth’s laws.
I really don’t have anything nice to say about this book. The whole book is just pious drivel dressed up as young adult fiction. I’m sorry I wasted my time on this.
