Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas *Stephanie’s Review*

[book-info]

I came to the Throne of Glass series late in the game. I only had to wait a month for Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas. That was a tough month. So much was revealed in Heir of Fire. It seemed like for every question answered three more sprang up. It was a damn hydra.

My review for Queen of Shadows is going to be one of those that doesn’t say much about the THINGS. I don’t like spoilers so I try to avoid them. I have to say that I am so proud of Aelin. (Anyone else having issues shifting to that?) I think there was a lot of growth in HoF but she continues to grow and I can see the royalty coming out of her.

So much happens in Queen of Shadows that should I attempt to cover my feelings about it all, this review would be an essay. I feel this book is better suited for a book discussion than a review. While I feel a little disappointed in Manon and her storyline, anything less wouldn’t properly capture her internal struggle.

There was also quite the upset about where everyone landed. Ships went down and people were pissed. I can see four pairs coming through this. And I am just fine where I see it heading. But there’s still a few books left and what that really means is the possibilities are endless.
