[book-info]
Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi was our buddy pick for October. I’m glad that we decided to continue with the series. I struggled with the first half of Under the Never Sky but by the end I was ready for more. The second book didn’t suffer at all from second book syndrome. It was all action.
Aria is faced with being on the outside looking in when she reaches the Tides compound. It definitely puts a gap in Aria and Perry’s relationship and in the Tides itself. Aria knows what she wants and how to go about proving herself.
Penny is struggling in his new role as Blood Lord. He sees his role as the person responsible for his compound and therefore the one who should take risks. His guard sees his role as the person who shouldn’t be taking risks because he is the leader and needs to be safe.
Through the Ever Night was pretty fast paced and I really enjoyed every second of it. I’m glad that I read Roar & Liv before reading this. It put some of the events into perspective for me. There were so many twists and turns that I didn’t know where we’d end up. I am very much excited to finish this series up.
