If You Only Knew by Kristan Higgins *Stephanie’s Review*

I was a little nervous when I found that Kristan Higgins was diverting away from contemporary romance and trying her hand with women’s fiction. If You Only Knew by Kristan Higgins was such a fantastic read! It goes without saying that I picked this book up simply because I love the author. I was a bit hesitant but those worries were quickly put at ease.

Jenny and Rachel are two sisters who have always had a great relationship. I can’t tell you how easy it was to enjoy these two! Jenny is a spitfire when it comes to her sister. She’s also dealing with her somewhat recent divorce and the aftershocks of that. Rachel is faced with a cheating husband and what that means for her and her three and a half year old triplet daughters.

The secondary characters were pretty great. Leo and Jenny and Rachels’s mother top my favorites. And who wouldn’t love and assistant like Andres? If you’re an animal lover, Higgins is one of those authors who can give a pet personality! Loki was no different.

Every time I finish a Higgins book I want to visit New England. Her love of the area certainly comes through in her writing. Cambry-on-Hudson is a beautiful small town and it sounds like such a great place to live. Do you ever just want to move to the towns you read about? Unfortunately my little piece of the world people escape from not to.

Thankfully I really enjoyed If You Only Knew. I thought about the characters long after finishing. I have hopes for them. I think another book a few years after this one ends would be great. That’s how you can tell you have a winner. The story has been completed but you want to check in just to make sure everyone’s still okay!

  1. YES! I also really loved this one, as you know, so I’m happy about this. I was also nervous about it too but I hope she writes more now. 😀 Also, totally adding your beautiful blog button to my Blogroll. ❤

    1. At this point it’s safe to say if Higgins writes, I’m reading it. Even if it were a cereal box. 🙂 Definitely on my autobuy list.

Thank you! Ashley did a terrific job with the design.
