A cursed prince sits alone in a secluded castle. Few have seen him, but those who claim they have say his hair is wild and nails are sharp--like a beast's! But how did this prince, once jovial and beloved by the people, come to be a reclusive and bitter monster? And is it possible that he can ever find true love and break the curse that has been placed upon him? - via GoodReads

The Beast Within was a fun look into what happened before The Beast became the Beast and was just a Prince. Valentino covers everything the Disney movie sort of glossed over. Who was the Enchantress and why did she have such a beef with the Prince? What did the Prince do to end up a Beast?
Valentino’s The Beast Within is a quick and light read but it is rich in detail. While I’m glad I read the book, I am glad I used my library instead of coughing up the $9.99 Kindle price.

I just watched Beauty and the Beast last night. Oh the coincidence.
Did they actually come up with a name of the Beast? Cause that’s one thing that’s always kinda bugged me.

Isn’t it the best movie ever? His name in the movie is actually Prince Adam. In the book they just refer to him as The Prince.

My boyfriend bought this for me right when it came out because I’m such a big fan of Beast. I’m glad you enjoyed it even if it’s sort of light. The hardcover looks amazing to though so I’m not too upset over the money spent, lol.

Exactly! It is a gorgeous hardcover. I would have purchased the Kindle book so it would have been a waste of money. If I had a nice shiny thing to look at it wouldn’t be so bad. 😉 I am very excited to read Fairest which is about the Evil Queen from Snow White. 😀

Great review! As a huge fan of Beauty and the Beast, I’ve had my eye on this book for a while now. I definitely need to pick up a copy.

Thanks! It was good and really went into his story instead of just expecting you to take it at face value. I enjoyed the book and I’m glad I found it. I didn’t even know this author was writing “villain” Disney books.
