Alexa’s Dec TBR and Reading Goals

Posted December 3rd, 2014 by in *Feature/Meme, To Be Read (TBR) Pile / 3 comments

I thought this year instead of joining a bunch of challenges I know I will never complete I would just make some of my own personal reading goals. This way I know they are my goals and that they don’t have to fit into any particular challenge.

I also think I’m going to do away with my TBR Pile posts at the beginning of every month and just show my progress at the beginning of each month on these goals and then at about half way through the month I’ll do a little post to highlight what I recently finished, what I’m reading and what I hope to get to next. I feel this is better than just throwing a whole bunch of books on a pile each month with no hope of finishing them or allowing for a change of reading taste I might have that month.

You’re right! It’s so weird to hear you say Once Upon a Chapter instead of Pages of Forbidden Love! Looks like you had a great reading month in November! Looks like December will be a great month for you too. If you need to call me go ahead. I’ll even wake up for you if I’m asleep.

I really really wanted to read your Mara review, but I refrained, no spoilers since I am heading into the audibook of book three this week. I gave up setting goals and challenges and all that for myself. I am terrible about adhering to them, and I have learned that sometimes I just need to break free and read without constraints otherwise I get into a slump. I admire all of you who do set out these goals and keep them. Best of luck with your challenges. You have some great books up there listed to read.
