[book-info]

Evernight by Kristen Callihan was my first ever Darkest London book and it most certainly won’t be my last. This book took me three weeks to read but it was a pleasant three weeks. I savored Evernight. It pulled me out of my reading funk slowly but surely.

Will Thorn and Holly Evernight mix about as well as oil and water. They have a bit of an ugly history. I absolutely loved watching them work together to try and work through their issues. And do they have some issues: clockwork hearts, poisons, assassins, and a Fae Queen on a mission. While the plot is fast paced, Callihan gives her romance time to grow.

Evernight is the fifth book in the series but not once did I feel lost. Kristen Callihan does an excellent job initiating new readers to the series. For those who enjoy the enemy to lovers troupe, make sure to take a look at this one! I’ll be going back to dive into the rest of this series!
