The Unexpected Gift by Amanda Shofner gave us a peek at what Michael Cooper has been through and what he’s willing to go through to stop the Hunters. I really enjoyed Elusive Memories the first book in the series and I was eager to spend more time among the characters. I was not disappointed. I enjoyed finding out what it was that made Coop tick. I liked spending more time with the secondary characters. Shofner didn’t cut her characters any slack either. This wasn’t an easy process for any of them.

The Unexpected Gift had made me even more eager for Shofner’s upcoming Hidden Illusions. I’ll be getting my copy as soon as it’s released!
