I had a hard time trying to get a hold of Cajun Nights by D J Donaldson. I discovered Donaldson when Astor+Blue asked me to review his newest release Bad Karma in the Big Easy. I loved it and needed more of Andy Broussard and Kit Franklin.

Cajun Nights blended all of the things I love in one book. It had Southern gentility, a haunting voodoo, and a great ending. I enjoyedgetting to learn about all of the characters I already know. Their orgins were different from what I already know going into the book.

The only thing that stopped this book from a five star rating is that the ending was just a tad too convenient. I am really glad that i have th erest of this series to glom on! They were certainly with the hassle to find.
