Review: Fools Rush In by Kristan Higgins

I can’t tell you how many times Fools Rush In by Kristan Higgins made me cringe. Indulge me a minute and think back to high school. Remember that one guy who was perfect in almost every way? That gorgeous speciman who was not only a football/basketball/baseball/fill-in-the-blank star, but who was also super down to earth and nice? Yeah, that guy. I knew there had to be one because it seems like every high shcool has one. Well Millie Barnes is coming up the big three oh and has made it her mission to capture that guy: Joe Carpenter. She is a woman with a plan and no one is going to stop her.

I finished this book almost three months ago and have read several books between then and now I can still recall the characters, the setting, and almost all of the plot with clarity. It’s no secret that I’m a Higgins fangirl, but this is what a good author does for you. They write a story you won’t forget. This particular book featured a love sneaks up on you kind of storyline and it really worked for me. Plus the characters were really great.

Fools Rush In is a sweet romance that had me smiling all the way through. There were a few times I startled those around me by laughing out loud. I know that when I pick up a Higgins romance, I’m going to spend some time among people I’ll love in a beautiful place and get to witness the growth of a strong relationship.

    1. I don’t have many books left to read from Higgins’s back list and that makes me so sad. I love this woman’s writing and can’t wait to pick up the next one. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did!
