I had been wanting to read Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare for awhile but had restricted my book buying. I was so excited when I saw this book at the library that I snatched it up and added it to the pile. Once I opened the cover, I had a really hard time putting it down. I finished it within 24 hours which is pretty quick for me.

Izzy and Ransom. I have to say I love them both. They are a bit flawed but they are so perfect for each other. I was so in love with Izzy’s back story, Ransom’s current predicament, watching them work against each other, seeing them learn to trust each other, and all the secondary characters.

Dare writes a pretty fantastic historical romance and Romancing the Duke is no exception. It certainly helps that the story is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. The great thing is that Dare changes enough of it to really make it her own. I cannot wait to read the second book in Dare’s new Castles Ever After series.
