I have to admit that the very first few pages of this book were very odd. In the time and culture where I live, a human sacrifice is something that just isn’t going to happen. Thankfully for Soah, the Water God Haback, decides to save her and let her live in his palace.

Bride of the Water God Vol I basically sets up the story for the rest of the volumes. I picked up the first five books for $2.50 each at my local UBS and because Alexa has really enjoyed the series.

The artwork is beautiful and the storyline has me intrigued so I plan on continuing with this series.
