I think that at this point I would follow Amanda Shofner off a bridge if she could present it in the right light. Seriously, this woman takes complex information about writing and boils it down to manageable sections that are easy to apply to your own life. In The Blogger’s Mindset Shofner tackles how to be a successful blogger. She doesn’t give a black and white step by step guide but rather guides you by asking questions about what you want to accomplish with your blog.
I read this book when I was experiencing some book ADHD. Once Upon a Chapter has been languishing these past few months and by reading The Blogger’s Mindset, I was able to found my why. I was also able to find a way to make blogging work for me by following Shofner’s advice. It helped me to plan, and appropriate time, to understand what I wanted to accomplish and why, and how to use social media. Honestly, I could use a full tutorial on social media because I learned SO much from this book.
If you are a blogger, and specifically a book blogger, you need to do yourself a favor and big this book up. To me any time I find one piece of advice that makes my life easier, I am so grateful. In The Blogger’s Mindset I found several pieces of advice that is going to not only make my life easier by also make my blogging life more successful!
