Reading Pile #1 Finished

My Thoughts:

  • Inferno by Dan Brown: 3 out of 5 Stars
  • I got bored with this book about two thirds of the way through. It was ok and in the end I enjoyed the read. It just wasn’t a blow me out of the water type of book. The best thing I can say about this book is that for me it was better than The Lost Symbol but not as good as Angels & Demons.

  • Too Good to Be True by Kristan Higgins: 5 out of 5 Stars
  • Can I just say how much I love Kristan Higgins? This woman is now an autoread for me. I loved this book. Callahan and Grace were so good together. I loved the old matriarch of the family. There was just too many moments where I laughed out loud and the end was sweet. If you enjoy contemporary romances with comedy, you should check Higgins out. She’s wonderful.

  • James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl: 3.5 out of 5 Stars
  • I’m thinking that Matilda is going to remain my favorite Dahl book and not just for nostalgic reasons. This book was a quick read that kept me mildly entertained. I wasn’t completely invested in James and his travels but it was a sweet read and I enjoyed it.

  • Three Nights with a Scoundrel by Tessa Dare: 4.5 out of 5 Stars
  • This is the third book in Dare’s Stud Club and I enjoyed it. Lily doesn’t let her deafness bring her down. Julian loves Lily and only wants for her to have everything that she wants and needs to be happy. Silly man doesn’t realize it’s him. I enjoyed this book and the epilogue. I will be picking up Dare’s other books as well.

  • The Exiled Queen by Cinda Williams Chima: 5 out of 5 Stars
  • I really enjoyed this book! This is my second book by Chima and I’m eager to continue the series. I can’t help but think that history is repeating itself through Han, Raisa, and Micah. This book seemed to flow more smoothly than the first book in the series. I honestly can’t wait to pick up the next book in the series. 🙂 It will definitely be in Reading Pile #3.
