My Thoughts:

You all know that Johnny reads a ton of comics and has been trying to get me to dive into them for some time. I finally decided to break down and give one a try.

I went with Deadpool because I know Johnny really loves Deadpool and I hear about his story all the time so I wanted to read about him for myself. He is also the only character that breaks fourth wall which means that he actually talks directly to the reader. He is a character but he is aware that he has readers and will talk to you from time to time in the course of the story.

I have to say that I was a little taken back by Deadpool at first. He was a little more then I was expecting and he really is crazy. He is having conversations with himself and with you in the book and yet there is a huge storyline going on in each issue of the graphic novel that you have so much to pay attention to. It was a little much to pay attention to so much at first but I was quickly able to get use to the style in which this comic was presented and the way Deadpool’s personality comes through the pages. By the second portion of the comic I was laughing right along with Deadpool and I really enjoyed his style of fighting and the way he didn’t seem to care about how he killed villains but he does have some deeper emotions that I can’t wait to read more about.

Overall, I did enjoy my time with Deadpool and I can’t wait to see where he goes in the future comics.
