The Good:

Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1)

This book was amazing! I loved listening to every minute of it on audio and I really think that the audio adds to the experience of this book. I can’t wait to find time to listen to the second book on audio.

My Review

On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street, #1)

I may think that romance books were better before the year Fifty Shades of Grey was released into the world but this book proved to me that great romance still exists even if it was published recently.

My Review

Unravel Me (Shatter Me, #2)

By far this is my favorite read of this year so far. I didn’t love Shatter Me, in fact I didn’t like several aspects of the book but this book held me captivated from the beginning. I love Warner!!! More Warner please!!!!

My Review

Dare You To (Pushing the Limits, #2)

While I may not have loved Pushing the Limits I really loved this story because of how much I connected on a personal level with both main characters.

My Review

The Disappointments:

Cut & Run (Cut & Run #1)

After so many people raved about this male/male romance book I knew I needed to read it. Lets just say the writing was just confusing as all hell and I’m not sure I will be able to read the next book, I want it to get better but I’m not sure it will.

My Review

Requiem (Delirium, #3)

Talk about an epic fail in ending a series. The only reason I didn’t throw this book across the room when I was done with I was because it was a library book and I do not damage library books.

My Review

Paper Valentine

I didn’t even finish this book because there was a huge thing that happened in this book that I just couldn’t agree with so I had to put the book down.

So far, everyone I know has been disappointed by Requiem! I’m too afraid to read it :P. And I really, really want to read Unravel Me, but I’ve heard the novella Destroy Me is important to read before starting it and unfortunately we don’t have it in the UK :/. So happy you like Daughter of Smoke and Bone!

Requiem definitely disappointed me too. I still get angry thinking about that ending! I’m glad Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Unravel Me and Dare You To worked better for you though. I loved all three of those. 🙂

i have both daughter of smoke and bone and on dublin street in my tbr pile so i’m glad to see both on the “good” list.

as for the lauren oliver series, i absolutely LOVED delirium. when i first read it when it first came out i was all, awesome a book that goes against the YA grain and not have a love triangle. and then the synopsis of book 2 came out and she introduced a new love interest and i was so mad. so i didn’t bother with the series. and then i heard about how book 3 ended and i’m glad i made the decision i did.

I loved DoSB but read and didn’t hear it. Stupid location rights, I couldn’t get the free audio. I would have listened to it for the second time. Love the writing. Have heard good things about On Dublin Street. Oh, it’s good I didn’t pick up Paper Valentine on my library visit this week, then.
