My Personal Assessment:
Ouch! Seriously, that hurt. Halfway through the month I got scared and almost deleted the whole post but I persevered. My biggest issue this month was that B&N had up to 50% off over 1000 top Nook books…..and Amazon price matched. I think that I may have every book that Nicholas Sparks has ever written on my Kindle now. OH! Two of the books that I purchased this month (Killing Lincoln & Killing Kennedy) were on my wishlist prior to this sale and they were normally $13 and I scored both of them for a little more than that.

Regardless of my excuses, I used this month to see where I was at in a month where I didn’t put many restrictions on myself. I had rules in place but for the first month I considered them “soft” rules. After seeing that price tag though… ways are going to have to change or I’ll be in the poorhouse soon. I KNOW that May will be a better month financially. I have faith that I can do this. 🙂 My goal is to keep it below $150 in May. I have two big giveaways coming up otherwise it would be under $100. Not only does this stuff add up ridiculously fast but baby steps, peeps. Baby steps.

I feel like I should be doing this budget thing as well. I have gotten a lot better at not purchasing books but I still probably buy more than I should considering I don’t have a job anymore.

I think this will help you to see how much you spent this month and put it into perspective for you next month!
