I first saw a review for this months and months ago when Cat over at Addicted2Heroines reviewed it (to check out her review click on the link 🙂 ). It sounded like a good read and I wanted to read more graphic novels so I added it to my goodreads tbr list. Then lucky me I saw it on Netgalley and figured it was my chance to check it out. Have to say I am glad I did.
I thought this was a great change from the other Robin Hood movies and stories I have read. I loved that Robyn was a tough chick who has had one too many bad things throw at her in life. She was more about taking care of herself and protecting what is hers than worrying about others and she didn’t always jump at the chance to help. She is actually fairly reluctant to help but still seems to have a good heart.
I would still say I am new to graphic novels but I feel whether you are new to them or not that this would be one you would want to check out. I always forget how fast graphic novels are to read and am then disappointed when its over. I thought it was really good while it lasted though. I loved Robyn’s character and the story was full of action (some pretty graphic action. Definitely bloody but probably not as much as other stories.) The story was far from dull and with an ending like the one it had I am definitely looking forward to more. Plus, there is a certain character in particular that caught my attention and I am hoping he shows up some more.
