Going Vintage by Lindsey Leavitt is one of those books that should be read when you need to be put into a good mood. It is light and fun and Mallory has such an interesting voice. I loved Mallory for multiple reasons. She is a list maker. I am a list maker. She has a slightly sarcastic voice. I have a big sarcastic voice. When faced with the sort of problems, Mallory experienced, I probably would have behaved the same way. Probably not to the extreme that Mallory does but hey, I’m a blogger. I don’t know that I could just cut ties with all my techy stuff.

Lindsey Leavitt writes some pretty awesome characters in Going Vintage. I don’t think that there was one person (besides Jeremy) who I didn’t care for. I loved Mallory’s little sister Ginnie. It was amusing to have a 15 year old so concerned about her family and their health and food intake. Oliver was such an underdog type guy that you just couldn’t help but love him. By the way, Oliver would never see himself as an underdog type. He’s too cool for that.

Going Vintage was refreshing and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I’ll be watching to see if Lindsey Leavitt publishes any more novels in the future because she is an author I wouldn’t mind reading again.
