My Thoughts

“Most shociking, most emotional, and most thrilling Women’s Murder Club ever”? I don’t think so. In fact, I’m getting rather fed up with this series which is exactly why I got the hardcover from my library and did not purchase this one for my Kindle. I can read a James Patterson novel in a day. They keep me entertained. That alone should give it a good rating right? Not so much. 11th Hour by James Patterson kept my attention and their was more interaction between the Women’s Murder Club (which I mentioned was lacking in 10th Anniversary. The biggest thing that I have an issue with and what truly affected my rating the most is that there are so many damn story lines. It’s not just about keeping Joe and Lindsay’s relationship straight, or how Lindsay and Claire are working together. It’s now about Yuki’s mom being gone and her budding relationship with Lindsay’s separated but not yet divorced boss, Cyndi and Rich’s (who happens to be Lindsay’s partner who she almost once had a fling with) relationship. Do they want kids? Can they negotiate this out? Then to top it all off you have not one but two freaking mysteries to try and keep straight! Typing all of this out just exhausted me.

I’ll probably keep reading the series. After all I’ve stuck through with eleven of them but I am certainly not shelling out money for a one day read that leaves me less than satisfied.
