Blogger Love: Pages of Forbidden Love

It may come as no surprise to some of you that the first blogger that I chose to spotlight is indeed the girl who has been helping me out on Once Upon a Chapter. There is a lot to love about Alexa as anyone who knows this girl will tell you!

Why I Love This Blogger

Way back when Once Upon a Chapter was in it’s infancy and strictly reviewing romance novels there was a girl who frequently commented on the posts. I was still in awe that there was such a thing as a book blogging community and learning what “socializing and networking” meant. One day I had to know more about this girl who was chiming in pretty regularly. Turns out she had started up a book blog as well. I started following her. We exchanged RAKs and started talking via Twitter and our blogs.

That was just a little background. The reason that I continue to follow and interact with Alexa is that she is a great person AND a great blogger. Alexa is willing to help out as she can where ever she is needed. Her personality really comes through on Pages of Forbidden Love. Alexa and Johnny’s videos are epic and never fail to put a smile on my face!

The 411 on Alexa

What inspired you to start blogging?
I have loved to read for several years now and one day as I was on the Barnes and Noble chat room I noticed several people were discussing book blogs. I had never even heard of a book blog before so I had no idea how to go about finding the awesome community of bloggers. Slowly over the course of paying attention to their chat and talking with them I found several book blogs to start following. After following for two-three months I decided it was time to give it a go on my own. I figured I’m a smart person who is driven to get things done and I love the idea of having a great group of blogging friends to discuss books with so I build my blog from scratch. It was certainly nothing amazing in the beginning but I loved it and kept with it until I finally got up the courage to talk to other bloggers. The rest is history and now I run what I like to think is a successful blog. I’m probably never going to be as big as some of the main blogs out there but I’m happy where I currently sit in the blogging community!

What is your favorite part of blogging?
My favorite part would have to be reaching out to bloggers. I was so scared to do that when I first started blogging but slowly I started to get a group of bloggers that I trusted and wanted to spend my time talking with. I have made so many blogging friends that I can discuss great books with and I wouldn’t give them all up for the world.

If you had to pick a favorite book today, what would it be?
Oh goodess these questions are always so hard to answer because I read so many amazing books every year. I guess right now I’m going to just go with my current obsession with a band called The Sinners. This band is introduced in Backstage Pass, and I have to say it was the best adult romance book I’ve read in a while, probably the best one in that genre all year.

Thanks Felicia! I’m hoping to do at least one post like this each month. It will help keep up my moral to keep reminding myself why I enjoy blogging so much. Alexa is a great blogger and person. I can’t wait to feature more awesome people.

Aw thanks so much for featuring me and to everyone who likes this post.!

You are awesome as well and I need to do more to feature you on my blog. I once did a Blogger Pages to Love feature but I’ve stopped doing it lately, that needs to change.

    Thanks for everything!
