High Summer Read-a-Thon!

Posted July 16th, 2012 by in Bookish Events / 4 comments

This is a read-a-thon that is going on from July 16th to July 22nd. It is hosted by Michelle @ The True Book Addict but who has a separate page called Seasons of Reading for all of her read-a-thons.

The point of this read-a-thon is just to relax, have fun, and read some great books.

I, Alexa, am going to try really hard to actually read during this read-a-thon since I haven’t had many successful read-a-thons lately. I am going to be super busy though leaving one job, interviewing for a new job, volunteering at my library and possibly buying a new car this week so I can only hope to get done a little reading.

I’m going to set a high goal for myself just because I like to see if I can actually get anywhere near meeting said goals, even if I don’t sleep all week!

So here is Alexa’s TBR Pile for this read-a-thon:
~ Finish Tommy Nightmare
~ Wings of Arian
~ Dante’s Girl
~ Wake
~ Pushing the Limits
~ Rift

Stephanie here joining a bit late but I’ve been keeping track of my progress! That counts for something doesn’t it? The big question: What will I be reading for the read-a-thon? Here’s my TBR Pile:

So here is Stephanie’s TBR Pile for this read-a-thon:
~ Finish The Ugly Duchess
~ Running Blind (Audiobook)
~ Beagelmania
The Honorable Rancher
~ The Librarian

Also note that Stephanie will probably be joining me for this read-a-thon since this is on her blog and she was nice enough to allow me to use her blog to participate in this read-a-thon because I’m actually doing the Doin’ It Dirty Read-a-Thon on my blog on Friday. Doing’ It Dirty is hosted by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal.

Funny how when a read-a-thon comes up the fates conspire to throw every obstacle into the reading path. Hopefully not this read-a-thon! Good luck reaching your reading goals 🙂
