GoodReads Readathon
Woot!! Today’s the day my friends. I took a Friday off of work to get this thing started off right! I hope you enjoy it! If you’re just hearing about this, there is still time to sign up! Sign ups will remain open until 2/29. I’ll be updating on Twitter with the hash tag: #OUACReadathon. I’ve spent my morning touching base with participants and adding everyone to Twitter. 😀 I’m ready to rock this thing!

Other important info:
1st Challenge will post Saturday. (US Only)
2nd Challenge will post Monday. (International as long as Book Depository ships to you!)
3rd Challenge will post Wednesday. (US Only)

This is my starting line:

The Pile:
Homicide in Hardcover – Kate Carlisle (finish)
Simply Love – Mary Balogh
Dragon Bound – Thea Harrison
Divergent – Veronica Roth
Tripwire – Lee Child
Kiss Me, Kill Me – Allison Brennon
(Alternates will include anything else that catches my eye! Hah!)

That’s quite a pile but I don’t expect to get to them all. It should however put me back in the green!

Friday 2/24:
Reading: Homicide in Hardcover; Simply Love
Pages Read: 255
Food: Cranberry Pecan Turkey Roll Ups, Rolos, Cheddar Sour Cream Baked Ruffles
Drinks: Dt. Dr. Pepper
Feeling: Pretty pleased I finished a book. Woot! 11:55 AM

Saturday 2/25:
Reading: Simply Love
Pages Read: 10
Food: iHop (Had a great sandwich called Pot Roast Melt)
Drinks: mostly soda Dt. Dr. Peppr
Feeling: Like a lazy bum. Spent the day with my husband and didn’t read much. HOping to change that tomorrow.

Sunday 2/26 through Thursday 3/1:
Reading: Simply Love, Dragon Bound
Pages Read: 290
Feeling: My husband and work conspired against me. On Monday and Tuesday Simply Love just couldn’t hold my interest. It’s a great book and I gave it 4 stars, I just think it wasn’t the book I was in the mood for. Wednesday I had a complete breakdown full of tears and other unpleasant things. I’m a perfectionist and I believe my work reflects the type of person I am. Right now, my job is stressful and I do think it will get better. In time it has to get better. For right now though, I tend to get pretty stressed out. I’m hoping to start relieving my stress through better blogging and therapeutic book reading! More on that later……if you’re curious check back on 3/19!

Ooh I need to read Dragon Bound and Divergent. I need to BUY Dragon Bound. Good luck! I'm having to take regular breaks so I don't fall asleep, haha.
