Welcome to Once Upon A Chapter!
Take a look at what happened this week:

Saturday – Chapter One:
Once Upon a Chapter’s Sizzling Summer Read-a-Thon!
You should sign up!
Monday – Chapter Two:
Review: Blood Moons by Alianne Donnelly
(Rating: A; Heat Level: 4)
Wednesday – Chapter Three:
By the Cover
Thursday – Chapter Four:
Review: The Fire Lord’s Lover by Kathryne Kennedy

(Rating: B-; Heat Level: 4)

Questions of the week: Name 3 authors that you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from?

Answer: I love this question! The first one that jumped into my head was J.K. Rowling. I’m sure she’ll make a ton of lists on the hop. It would be heaven just to pick that woman’s brain to find out more about Hogwarts and all who exist in it.

Second would be C.S. Lewis. I loved the Chronicles of Narnia. It would be awesome to talk to it’s creator.

Third would be Allison Brennan. I love this woman’s writing. She can also scare the bejesus out of me. I think it would be great to sit down and talk about bad men and all that they do. I wonder how she feels about unsolved murders? I’m not going to lie I love watching those shows. 🙂 I bet it would be a ton of fun talking about those with a romantic suspense author.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!!!

J.K. Rowling seems to be a common one today, but I feel as though if I talked to her some of the magic would be lost. If I'm all fan girl I like a bit of distance so that the illusion of their awesomeness doesn't get broken.Rie @ Mission to Read

I've met J.K. Rowling… well, sort of. She did a booksigning at the bookstore where I worked at the time. I have to say, I don't think Scholastic gave her a fair shake. It was a different world then… fantasy was not mainstream, they they completely underestimated how her book would sell. It changed the whole market. Anyhow, Scholastic put her in rinky dink motels, and booked her for 4 – 6 signings of 400 books per day. That's 2,400 books signed a day, folks. I know, some writers would say, "Oh, cry me a river, sucks to be popular" but by the time she got to our store she was WORN OUT. She put on a brave face for the fans though… what a trooper. She didn't let a single kid down.I'd love to see her again under less stressful circumstances.
