Horror of Romance: Pregnesia by Carla Cassidy

We all know Romance gets a bad rap. We hide our book covers and are sometimes embarrassed when we’re discovered reading them in the dark corners of our libraries. Yes, romance novel haters are out there and of course we fear their judgment. So that brings us to The Horror of Romance. What is the Horror of Romance? Well, here we’ll examine why romance novels are so funny to so many people…including the people who read them.

DISCLAIMER: Our jokes are in no way shape or form judging the quality of the book or the author. Remember, this is all for fun!

Today’s Victim: Pregnesia by Carla Cassidy

Lisa’s Thoughts: Yup, you read correctly…it’s the next big thing – Pregnesia! Losing your memory while pregnant! It happens to all the cool people. I guess the cover does it’s job because I’m extremely curious about the story behind this cover. Why does the guy have dirt on his face? How can she wear white and not get a speck of dirt on her? Who are the recovery men? What exactly is pregnesia? It’s just all too strange! Anywho, I feel sorry for that poor girl. This particular cover gives us the idea that it’s a suspense novel. Not only is she pregnant and forgetful, but she’s under stress and on the run! Hopefully she didn’t forget to wear comfy shoes!

Stephanie’s Thoughts: Wow…..um, wow. Pregnant and amnesia? Oh the horror!!! I have to say that yes, that would be a really bad situation to be in. Do we really have to compound matters by calling it pregnesia? Is that even really a diagnosis? Recovery men? Is this the new PC term for the repo man? If so, who is this man repossessing the woman for? Can a human be repossessed? I know these are a lot of questions, most you probably won’t be able to answer but this book has made me incredibly curious! Perhaps this HoR is worth picking up? We’ll see. 🙂

Oh. Wow. This is the sort of book you catch a glimpse of while wandering the book aisle of Walmart and have to go back and get a good eyeful of. I'm dying to read the synopsis now! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
