Marketing manager Katherine "Kitty" Katt had just finished a day on jury duty. When she stepped out of the Pueblo Caliente courthouse, all she was thinking about was the work she had to get caught up on. Then her attention was caught by a fight between a couple that looked like it was about to turn ugly. But ugly didn't even begin to cover it when the "man" suddenly transformed into a huge, winged monster right out of a grade Z science fiction movie and went on a deadly killing spree. In hindsight, Kitty realized she probably should have panicked and run screaming the way everyone around her was doing. Instead she sprinted into action to take down the alien.

In the middle of all the screeching and the ensuing chaos, a hunk in an Armani suit suddenly appeared beside her, introduced himself as Jeff Martini with "the agency," and then insisted on leading her to a nearby limo to talk to his "boss." And that was how Kitty's new life among the aliens began...Touched by an Alien is the thrilling first installment of the Alien novels.

5 Stars

When this book starts the reader is thrown right into the action, usually this doesn’t happen in books. Normally there is a long lead up to learn the characters and the setting before anything major happens. Well that is not the case with this book, at first it was a little difficult to follow just because so much was happening and so many new characters to learn. Plus in the beginning you have to try to keep up with Kitty and our aliens as they explain some huge background information. The beginning reads really fast and at first I wasn’t a huge fan for the first 70ish pages.

As soon as those first background parts were over and I understood the characters better I really started to enjoy the story. We get to see Kitty as she teams up with an agency of extremely hot alien men to save the world from superbeings, basically the bad aliens. I easily got wrapped up with the action, romance, humor that was happening at every turn. Whenever I would put this book down I immediately wanted to sit back down to read. I found myself thinking about the storyline and characters every minute that the book wasn’t in my hands.

I fell in love with Kitty and Martini, trust me read the book and you will see why any woman with a pulse will fall for Martini. *fans self* Seriously, I’m a V girl all the way (V from JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood), he has always been my favorite male character. But let me just tell you Martini is giving him a run for his money. I just loved the chemistry between Kitty and Martini, they both are smart, sarcastic and ready for anything at anytime. I loved the witty dialouge between Kitty, Martini and Christopher. Sign me up for a position at the agency because I certainly want to get myself one of those hot aliens.

Overall, I am impatiently waiting to have time to read the second book in this series called Alien Tango. Run to the store to get this one, I’m not usually a sci-fi type of person but I will gladly gobble up any books in this great series. Even if you aren’t a big sci-fi nut you need to go get this book. Plus the cover art is gorgeous so even if you do nothing but stare at that it will be worth it.

Carrie- Not only is the cover art great but the story itself is great. I would really recommend it. 🙂

I am so in love with Kitty and Martini, too! Wouldn't they be fun to hang with? Alien invasions aside, of course. And I would be trying to steal Martini, but still…

Amber- Lol I think if I was actually around them I would just sit down with some snack because I love their sarcasm towards each other. Yes I would be trying to steal Martini as well, who wouldn't 🙂
