Reading Challenge: Historical Romance

Posted November 19th, 2010 by in Uncategorized / 0 comments

So I decided to join my first ever reading challenge! Well technically I have joined several on Goodreads but not one that encompassed my blog. I’m really excited for this one because I was just thinking a few days ago that I wanted to find a challenge for historical romance novels because I seem to be winning those like crazy in blog giveaways.

Here is the link to the original post with all the rules done by Danielle at Romance Book Junkies.

The Breakdown:
Between January 1st till December 31st read 12 historical romance novels. You can read one per month that way after you review the book you can go to Danielle’s blog and link the review. This will also enter you in a giveaway each month that you post a review. Come on who doesn’t love to read great books and be entered into amazing giveaways! So what are you waiting for, go check out her blog and sign up if you are interested. 🙂

Here are some books that I’m considering for this challenge:
~ The Seduction by Nicole Jordan
~ The Passion by Nicole Jordan
~ Desire by Nicole Jordan
~ When I Fall in Love by Lynn Kurland
~ A Restless Knight by Deborah MacGillivray
~ Tempted by His Kiss by Tracy Anne Warren
~ At the Duke’s Pleasure by  Tracy Anne Warren
~ Knight of Desire by Margaret Mallory
~ If You Dare by Kresley Cole
~ To Conquer a Highlander by Mary Wine
~ Seduce Me by Robyn DeHart

Danielle- Thanks for hosting a challenge that was exactly what I was looking for. If you have any historical suggestions for me I'm all ears even though I already own a fair amount. 🙂

I have to recommend "The Other Boleyn Girl" by Philipppa Gregory. Its one of my favorites. Its considered historical fiction but has romance in it.

If you like a little paranormal with your history I would recommend "The Sun Witch" by Linda Winstead Jones. Awesome trilogy!

Danielle- I actually read The Other Boleyn Girl a few months ago and thought it was good. I have never heard of The Sun Witch though so I'll have to check that one out. Thanks 🙂
