Romance was not part of Nora Grey's plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life.

4.5 Stars

Well I have to say first off I love this cover, have loved it ever since it first came out about a year ago. For some insane reason I never bothered to pick up this book until Barnes and Noble was offering up ARCs of Crescendo for a Sneak Peak. Well let me tell you I was missing out all this time!

This story is full of great characters that will suck you into the story line. All of the action and weird moments that Nora has will keep you guessing right up till the end of the book. I was slightly surprised but some of the events at the ending of this book. I feel a lot of books I can predict and with this one I got a few elements right but there was still an element of surprise there. For me any book where the ending surprises me is at least a good book in my opinion. Plus Patch is just swoon worthy! Dark and mysterious he is the classic bad boy but he has a great twist to his past and his story line.

I think this is a great start to a series and I can’t wait to dive into Crescendo!
