If you have a reading background like mine, you’ve read and loved all the works of Miss Jane Austen. Any hero you’ve ever read about can be compared to the likes of Mr. Darcy, Mr. Knightly, Mr. Ferrars or Colonel Brandon. And any heroine you’ve ever read about can be compared to Miss Bennet, Miss Woodhouse or the Dashwood sisters. What amazes me the most about her work is how long it has remained alive and well in the entertainment world. There are a countless number of movie adaptations, sequels written by various authors and references in various forms of entertainment.

This post just takes a brief glimpse at some of the more humorous adaptations of Jane Austen’s work and life.

This first clip is a mock trailer for “The Jane Austen Fight Club”

Next we have the book trailer for the novel “Sense and Sensilibity and Sea Monsters” by Jane Austen and Ben H. Winters:

So basically, in one form or another…her work and her characters will live on forever!
