My Random Ramblings today is about a little Irish band currently touring North America. Members include, Ryan Kelly, Damian McGinty, Paul Byrom, Keith Harkin and George Donaldson (the only member who is not from Ireland, but hails from Scotland!). Five extremely talented men of different ages brought together by legendary producer Phil Coulter to perform an extrodinary show. Their first and latest tour demonstrates the range of music styles they cover. Their show include sweet ballads such as “Hallelujah” to golden oldies like “Standin’ On the Corner” or soft rock hits like “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).” Included are original Phil Coulter hits and powerful Irish songs. They are a true delight to see to watch on the television or DVD but it is nothing compared to see them live and in person. I saw their previous concert in Chicago, Kansas City and St. Louis and I will have the great pleasure of seeing them live in St. Louis this October. I’d like to introduce you to Celtic Thunder!
You may have seen them on PBS lately. Their latest recorded concert “It’s Entertainment” has been making the rounds and is now available on CD and DVD.
My favorite? Well…it would have to be the magnificent Paul Byrom! He is the man with the voice of an angel. But don’t take my word for it! See for yourself:
