Beginning Balance May 2017: $0.00 spent
What I Hope to Accomplish
- Pretty simple: Be mindful of what I’m spending my money on. I buy SO many books and then don’t ever read them. I’ve budgeted a certain amount of money per month for fun things. This however includes my stitching and knitting hobbies. It will also include anything extra that isn’t in my budget. Starting in June I want to be more mindful of where my money goes. For June I’ll probably have a set amount to stick to.
- Use the library more. I’d love to see a number where I save more than I spend.

Books Read This Month (TBR Goals: Read 3 each month 2/3 TBR = Before 5/1/17)
- Voyage by Diana Gabaldon ***** (TBR)
- Three Truths and a Lie by Brent Hartinger *** (TBR)
Borrowed from Library:
I use the current price on Amazon for the Kindle format of that book to calculate my library savings. I’m a major Kindle user and that would have been my choice of format so that’s the price I’ll use to calculate my savings.
- 16 Things I Thought Were True by Janet Gurtler ***** – $7.23
Books Being Donated this Month:
My library must have had a ton of donations to work through with the last sale in April. They aren’t accepting books for donation until almost the end of June. I’ll have a nice number by then!

Ooo pretties. I tend to put things on my wishlist these days instead of buying since I just have too many books (plus the library) I did spend $4 this May for one hardback I’d wanted that was on sale. So not too bad.
Stephanie
That’s what I do too. I just put it on my GoodReads wish list so I’m not tempted to buy it from an Amazon wish list. I have WAY too many books to read. Good for you! $4 in one month is something I’m aspiring to! Gives me goals. 🙂
