Discussion: My Blogging Goals

Over the past few months my goals for blogging and reading have shifted a bit. I wouldn’t say that my focus has changed but rather it has sharpened. In case you haven’t noticed, I have a thing for lists so here we go!

  • I want to read more of my books. This sounds like more of a reading goal but it effects my blogging because I’m going to reduce the amount of review requests I accept. (I don’t have that many anyway.)
  • Get reviews updated using Ultimate Book Blogger This has been such a slow process for me. One day…
  • Get my SEO to great and check page URLS I want to direct traffic to Once Upon a Chapter and SEO is the place to start. Who doesn’t love new readers?!
  • Consistency I struggle with this. If things get even a little wobbly in real life, the blog is the first thing I start to ignore. I don’t like that and I plan to change it.
  • Comment on my favorite blogs weekly if not daily I mean they are my favorite blogs. I want to share the love and I know comments mean a lot to me so I’m sure they do to other bloggers as well.
  • Set up a weekly digest for Once Upon a Chapter I signed up for MailChimp a few weeks ago and I am so lost. I really need to sit down and walk through some of their tutorials and get this marked off my list.
  • Post my reviews to Amazon I am so jealous of Vine people. I too shall stand among their ranks someday! Plus traffic, traffic, traffic.
  • Iron out the details for blog event in October You guys I HAD AN IDEA! And I haven’t seen it anywhere else. I want to iron it all out and make sure the first one goes off without a hitch. Check back for details later. πŸ˜‰
  • Get more involved in Bout of Books I always want to be a challenge host or a Bout of Books expert but then I talk myself out of it because what do I know? Sometime in the next few Bout of Books I am going to do one or the other or both!
  • Be more social This goal is SO hard for a girl who is socially awkward in real life. But I’ve been on Twitter quite a bit more and have really started using Instagram. It’s a slow process but I feel like I’m making progress.
  • Do you have blogging goals? Share them with me and we can cheer each other on!

I think MailChimp will have to wait for summer activities to cool down. Once the colder weather kicks in, I’ll have time for all the blogging things! πŸ™‚

I’m excited about my event. I can’t wait to get it going. πŸ˜€

Very intimidating! I thought I had it going the way I wanted and then I lost everything. πŸ™ I need to sit down and watch the tutorial.

You’ll be finding out soon enough. πŸ˜€ I need to get an order in for a button and grab code.
