Summary from Goodreads:
Georgina Kincaid has formidable powers. Immortality, seduction, shape-shifting into any human form she desires, walking in heels that would cripple mere mortals — all child’s play to a succubus like her.
Helping to plan her ex-boyfriend’s wedding is a different story. Georgina isn’t sure which is worse — that Seth is marrying another woman, or that Georgina has to run all over Seattle trying on bridesmaid dresses. Still, there are distractions. Georgina’s roommate, Roman, is cluttering her apartment with sexual tension. Then there’s Simone, the new succubus in town, who’s intent on corrupting Seth.
But the real danger lies in the mysterious force that’s visiting her thoughts, trying to draw her into a dark, otherworldly realm. Sooner or later, Georgina knows she’ll be too weak to resist. And when that happens, she’ll discover who she can trust, who she can’t — and that Hell is far from the worst place to spend eternity…
This book series at this point is like a guilty pleasure for me. I have never read almost an entire series within the same month and yet here I am gobbling up this series within threeish weeks. Not only is this a guilty pleasure read but I find myself completely and utterly invested in every move, every character, and every moment of passion.
This book was great because we were able to see all of the dreams/memories from Georgie’s life. We were able to see all of her big regrets from her life as a succubus but one thing always stood the test of time. No matter how often Georgie thinks she is a bad person she really is a good person who just has a slightly naughty streak. I don’t think this is anything that any woman should be punished for and I find myself completely in love with her character. She has to be moral and yet sexy and seduce men because of who she is. It is sad that she gave everything away, she traded her soul to hell but she traded it to preserve the love of the man she loved. Everything Georgie does is because she can’t help but care about the mortals in her life. Sure she makes mistakes but everyone does and Georgie might sometimes run from her fears but she also has her moments of being so strong and loving.
Ultimately I’m ready for the end of this series. I am dying to know what happens now and even though I know I will be sad to see the series end I also think this is a series that I need to purchase all of the books in so that I can always go back to reread the series or at least my favorite passages. Saying goodbye in the next book will be hard but I so badly need to know how Georgie and Seth end up together!
